5.3-magnitude quake hits west of Kirakira, Solomon Islands: USGS

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted 41 km west of Kirakira, Solomon Islands at 1714 GMT on Sunday, News.Az reports citing the Peninsula.

The epicenter, with a depth of 97.6 kilometers, was initially determined to be at 10.52 degrees south latitude and 161.54 degrees east longitude.
