Azerbaijani national team played its second match in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup today, News.Az reports.

Our team, which is in Group D, hosted the Ukrainian team in Baku.

The guests opened the scoring in the match. Giorgi Sudakov scored. However, our team equalized with a goal by Emin Mahmudov.

This was the first point our team earned in the qualifying round.
