Hezbollah leader warns Israel to prepare for ‘any scenario’
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel to prepare for “any scenario” as the Middle East braced for Iran and the Lebanese group of militants to respond to the killing of a high-profile Hamas figure in Tehran last week, News.Az reports citing The Telegraph .
Israel “used to down our drones when they were still above Lebanese land”, Nasrallah said, adding that now the devices reach the city of Acre in northern Israel.”The military operations will continue. Residents of the Haifa area should prepare for any scenario,” Nasrallah said, referring to the largest city in northern Israel.
He spoke out during a televised address on Tuesday to mark a memorial ceremony one week since the killing of senior commander Fuad Shukr, in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Crowds also took to the streets to vent their anger at Israel.
Hezbollah launched drones at Acre and the area of Nahariya, leaving 19 wounded.
The Israel Defense Forces admitted that an intercepting rocket from its air defence system missed its target and fell in the area where civilians were hurt.
The drone attack came after Israel killed five members of Hezbollah in Maifadoun in southern Lebanon.
