A passenger bus accident in Balikesir has left three people dead and 22 others injured after the vehicle overturned on a regional highway.

Firefighters are battling multiple wildfires across Türkiye, with a large blaze in the northwestern province of Canakkale continuing for a second day after hundreds of residents were evacuated as a precaution.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday commemorated the 110th anniversary of the Canakkale Land Battles.

The wildfire in the Turkish province of Canakkale was brought under control in a day, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Ibrahim Yumakli said.
