As electric vehicles continue their global expansion, cost and total ownership have become one of the most searched and decisive themes influencing consumer behavior.

Volvo Cars (VOLCARb.ST) announced on Monday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with its Chinese sister company Geely Auto (0175.HK) to become the exclusive importer and distributor of Lynk & Co electric vehicles in Europe.

Volvo Cars sold 58,881 cars in April, down 11% from a year earlier, the Sweden-based company said on Monday.
