Italy’s largest energy company Eni is considering a return to trading oil and natural gas, nearly six years after exiting the business, as price volatility driven by geopolitics reshapes global energy markets.

Shell Plc has announced that its second-quarter profits will be impacted by weaker performance from its renowned oil and gas trading division.

China's natural gas consumption is expected to increase by 6.5% this year compared to last year, reaching around 456 billion cubic meters (bcm), according to data released by Shanghai Petroleum and Gas Trading Center.
