Russia and Ukraine have carried out a significant prisoner-of-war (POW) exchange under the terms of agreements brokered in Istanbul, both countries confirmed on Wednesday.

The draft Istanbul agreements of 2022 may be taken as a basis for the Ukrainian settlement.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that the 2022 Istanbul agreements remain "on the table" and can serve as a foundation for peace negotiations with Ukraine, News.Az reports citing Anadolu Agency.
