Iran has prohibited pagers and walkie-talkies on all flights, according to local media, following deadly sabotage attacks in Lebanon that were attributed to Israel, News.Az reports citing Business Recorder.

Lebanon's director general of civil aviation on Thursday banned pagers and walkie-talkies on flights after pagers used by hundreds of members of the militant group Hezbollah exploded near-simultaneously Tuesday in Lebanon and Syria, killing at least 37 people, including an 8-year-old girl, and wounding several thousand, according to a statement published on the National News Agency (NNA).

In a speech addressing recent regional developments, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah Resistance Movement, stated that the Israeli enemy crossed red lines on Tuesday, News.Az reports citing Mehr news agency.

The United States has urged Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah to deescalate tensions after several people were killed and thousands were wounded in back-to-back explosions of communication devices across Lebanon, in an unprecedented attack that was immediately blamed on Tel Aviv.

Hezbollah announced Wednesday that it has targeted Israeli military positions in northern Israel, marking its first strike since the explosions of wireless communication devices in Lebanon, News.Az reports citing Anadolu agency.

On Tuesday, hundreds of pagers linked to the armed group Hezbollah exploded in Lebanon, resulting in at least 12 deaths and approximately 2,750 injuries. Some of the pagers also detonated in Syria, causing additional injuries, News.Az reports citing Al Jazeera.

Taiwanese company Gold Apollo has denied any connection to the pager devices that exploded in Lebanon.

Nine people were killed and 2,750 wounded, including Iran's ambassador to Lebanon, after pagers used by Hezbollah members exploded across Lebanon in a suspected Israeli attack.

Israel has not claimed responsibility for the explosions of Hezbollah communication devices in Lebanon and Syria, which have reportedly injured about 3,000 people, including 200 in serious condition, according to Lebanese sources, News.Az reports citing foreign media.
