OpenAI has announced a new initiative designed to prevent its rapidly expanding data center network from driving up electricity costs for local communities.

AI cloud provider CoreWeave has signed a new $6.5 billion agreement with OpenAI, increasing the total value of their partnership to $22.4 billion. This marks the third major expansion of their collaboration this year, following an initial $11.9 billion deal in March and a $4 billion add-on in May.

In a landmark move for artificial intelligence and global cooperation, G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank Group, and Cisco announced a partnership to develop Stargate UAE. This next-generation AI infrastructure cluster will operate within the newly established 5-gigawatt UAE–U.S. AI Campus located in Abu Dhabi.

Elon Musk is in conflict with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman over the Stargate artificial intelligence infrastructure project, which was recently promoted by President Donald Trump.
