Sudan will reopen Khartoum International Airport for domestic flights on Wednesday, following a 30-month closure due to the devastating conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces.

Sudan is grappling with its deadliest cholera outbreak in years, with nearly 100,000 suspected cases and over 2,470 related deaths since August of the previous year, according to a warning issued by Doctors Without Borders (MSF) on Thursday.

Conflict-driven displacement and the spread of cholera are intensifying humanitarian needs across Sudan, a United Nations spokesman has warned.
