China's CNOOC commences oil production at the Suizhong 36-2 field in the Liaodong Gulf

China's CNOOC Limited has begun oil production at the Suizhong 36-2 field on China's continental shelf, News.az reports citing Neftegaz.RU.
A total of 21 wells are planned to be commissioned, including 16 producing and 5 injection wells. The plateau production volume is expected to be 9.7 thousand boe/day in 2026.
The existing infrastructure of neighboring fields is used for transportation and processing of oil from the project.
The Suizhong 36-2 field development project used standardized engineering and construction solutions, which, as noted, made it possible to effectively reduce the scope of work, control investments and ensure the project's payback. CNOOC Limited owns 100% of the shares in this project and acts as the operator.
