Magnitude 6.3 earthquake shakes northeastern Japan

A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 rattled northeastern Japan on Friday, with no tsunami warning issued, the weather agency said, News.Az reports, citing Kyodo.

The focus of the 8:22 p.m. quake was off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture.
