Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili has accused the European Parliament of attempting to “silence free media” following the suspension of accreditation for journalists from pro-government broadcasters Imedi, Rustavi 2, and PosTV at the EP’s Brussels headquarters.

The European Parliament has banned journalists from Georgia’s TV Imedi from working in its Brussels headquarters for at least one year, according to the broadcaster, which has been subject to UK sanctions over alleged “disinformation in the interests of Russia.” 

Accreditation cards for participants of the World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) will begin to be issued on May 14 ahead of the forum’s opening in Baku.

To minimize waiting times and queues, and to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees, accreditation cards are now available for daily collection from 09:00 to 18:00 at the venue’s main entrance registration desks, News.Az reports.
