TotalEnergies (France) and Masdar (United Arab Emirates) have signed a binding agreement to establish a 50/50 joint venture worth $2.2 billion, which will combine their onshore renewable energy projects across nine Asian countries, including Azerbaijan.

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is broadening its international presence with a landmark acquisition in the Eastern Mediterranean energy arena. On January 31, 2025, SOCAR signed an agreement with Union Energy to acquire a 10% effective stake in the Tamar gas field—one of the region’s most strategically significant energy assets—located offshore of Israel.

The United States and South Korea have reached a significant outcome, advancing their cooperation on civil nuclear energy by initialing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Principles Concerning Nuclear Exports and Cooperation, the US Department of Energy said in a statement.  

The United States and Singapore on Wednesday signed a civil nuclear agreement, known as the "123 Agreement," aimed at enhancing cooperation on the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Azneft Production Union of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and the Sakuraz Green Energy (SGE) company signed an agreement that envisages strategic cooperation on the renewal and servicing of a wide range of batteries.
