The Pakistani federal government has lifted the ban on the import and export of gold by reinstating the suspended rules governing precious metals trade and issuing new amendments, according to a notification from the Ministry of Commerce.

The Indian government has announced the import of up to 160 tonnes of gold from the UAE at a concessional rate for the fiscal year 2024-25, under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which took effect on May 1, 2022.
