Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion, and Peter Howitt have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences for their work on innovation-driven economic growth, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on Monday.

The 2024 Nobel Prize in Economics has been awarded to Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson, and James A. Robinson for their groundbreaking research on "how institutions are formed and affect prosperity," according to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
