Sri Lanka is stepping up efforts to safeguard fertiliser supplies for farmers, as disruptions linked to the Middle East conflict raise concerns over imports, officials said on Thursday.

Meta has agreed to offer Facebook and Instagram users in the European Union a clear choice over how their personal data is used for advertising, the European Commission said on Monday. The move brings the company in line with the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA).

"It looks like bitcoin options traders appear to be hedging their bets to the downside ahead of the U.S. election this week," one observer said, noting pricier puts on the CME.
