U.S. chipmakers Skyworks Solutions and Qorvo announced Tuesday that they will merge in a $22 billion deal, forming one of the largest suppliers of radio-frequency (RF) chips for smartphones, including Apple’s iPhone.
Skyworks Solutions, which supplies radio frequency chips to Apple and other smartphone makers, held talks in recent months to buy rival Qorvo, according to people familiar with the matter, News.Az reports, citing The Information.
