Typhoon Shanshan persisted in its destructive path through western Japan on Saturday, delivering heavy rain and strong winds that disrupted transportation and led to warnings of additional downpours, News.Az reports citing Anadolu agency.

Millions of people were instructed to evacuate their homes on Thursday as Typhoon Shanshan battered southwest Japan with powerful winds and heavy rain. The storm caused widespread power outages, disrupted air travel, and led to the closure of major factories, News.Az reports citing Reuters .

Japan's most powerful typhoon of the year, Typhoon Shanshan, has caused significant devastation, leaving at least three people dead and one person missing, according to Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi.
