Nigerien President Abdourahamane Tiani and his Beninese counterpart Romuald Wadagni have reaffirmed their commitment to removing all obstacles hindering stronger bilateral cooperation, including the reopening of the border between the two countries.
Romuald Wadagni has won Benin's presidential election with 94.05 percent of the vote, according to preliminary results released Monday by the Autonomous National Electoral Commission.
Benin’s ruling parties, the Republican Bloc and the Progressive Union for Renewal, have endorsed Finance Minister Romuald Wadagni as their candidate for the 2026 presidential election.
