Chinese tech giant Alibaba has developed a new AI chip designed to handle a broader range of AI inference tasks, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The chip is said to be more versatile than Alibaba’s previous models and aims to fill the gap left by competitors like Nvidia, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
Alibaba did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
