Israel announces killing of Iran’s security chief, Ali Larijani

Israel said it killed Iran's top security official, Ali Larijani, one of the regime's most powerful surviving figures.

Israel also said it killed the head of the Basij force, a key militia used to suppress protests in the Islamic Republic, News.Az reports, citing foreign media.

Iran did not immediately confirm the claims, and it was not clear what Israel was basing its assessment on.
