Panama-flagged vessel hit by drone in Black Sea; one dead
A crew member was killed and two others were injured after a Panama-flagged vessel was struck in a drone attack in the Black Sea, the Panama Maritime Authority said on Friday, News.Az reports, citing Xinhua.
According to a statement from the authority, one of the injured crew members was in serious condition.
The information was based on preliminary reports regarding the attack, which took place on Thursday.

The authority said it had activated the relevant protocols to obtain official information about the incident. It is also maintaining contact with the parties involved and the competent authorities to verify the details of the attack and assess the condition of the crew. Despite the incident, the vessel was able to continue its voyage.
The Panama Maritime Authority advised all Panama-flagged vessels to implement the necessary security measures and, whenever possible, avoid transiting through Ukrainian and Russian waters in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
Panama is among the world's largest ship registry nations. In January, another Panama-flagged vessel was struck in a drone attack in the Black Sea.
