US may pay $1B to TotalEnergies over canceled wind farms

U.S. officials are reportedly preparing a settlement worth around $1 billion for French oil giant TotalEnergies.
The payment would compensate the company for canceled leases for offshore wind farms in New York and North Carolina, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
