Russia and Ukraine on Saturday accused each other of ‌violating a brief ceasefire in their four-year-old war hours into the truce put in place to mark Orthodox Easter.

The Belgorod region experienced a wave of drone attacks and shelling over the past 24 hours, causing damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure, and resulting in casualties.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has banned residents from posting unofficial footage or details of drone attacks, citing “additional security measures.”

Central Belgorod was placed under military lockdown on Thursday after a massive drone attack, with bursts of gunfire and explosions echoing across the city.
