Uganda has deployed a team of health workers to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to help contain the Ebola outbreak in the neighboring country, a senior health official said on Monday.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has called on the Taliban to lift travel and work restrictions on Afghan female aid workers, allowing them to assist women affected by the deadly September 1 earthquake that killed over 2,200 people in eastern Afghanistan.

The World Health Organization chief on Thursday said that 28 healthcare workers had been killed in the last 24 hours in Lebanon amid an escalation in conflict with Israel, News.Az reports citing Anadolu agency.
