At least 15 people have died and 16 remain missing following landslides triggered by heavy rain in India’s Himalayan state of Uttarakhand, local media reported on Wednesday.

At least four people were killed and 50 others went missing after massive flash floods and a landslide struck the hilly northern Indian state of Uttarakhand on Tuesday, sweeping away dozens of homes.

At least 34 people have lost their lives in India’s northeastern region over the past four days due to severe floods and landslides, authorities and local media reported on Monday.
