Indonesia is set to implement a nationwide single rice price policy starting in 2026, aimed at reducing price disparities between regions, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said on Monday.
The Philippines will suspend rice imports for 60 days starting September 1 to support local farmers, a decision that could put additional pressure on global rice prices as the world's top buyer steps back from the market.
