Azerbaijan’s membership in the UN Tourism Executive Council was officially confirmed during the council’s 124th and 125th sessions held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

At the 71st meeting of the UN Tourism Regional Commission for Europe held in Baku on June 5–6, Azerbaijan was elected to the organization’s Executive Council for the 2025–2029 term.

The United States is heading toward a difficult year for tourism, with new data from the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) revealing a projected loss of $12.5 billion in travel revenue in 2025.
