At least 24 people were killed in Bangladesh on Wednesday after a passenger bus carrying about 40 people plunged into the Padma River while attempting to board a ferry.

Eighteen people, including a foreigner, were killed when a passenger bus en route to Kathmandu from Pokhara plunged into the Trishuli River in central Nepal's Dhading district early Monday, according to local administration.

At least 16 people were killed and several others injured after their passenger bus careened off into a ravine near the Bola Khan police station, in the Jamshoro district of Pakistan’s Sindh province, according to local police officials.
