A fire broke out in Ukraine’s Danube Biosphere Reserve after a Russian drone attack on the Odesa region overnight on April 17, according to regional authorities.

Romanian authorities evacuated residents of Plauru village in Tulcea County early Monday, November 17, following a Russian drone strike on the Ukrainian port of Izmail that ignited a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) vessel near the Romanian border.

Ukraine has reopened the Bystre Canal at the mouth of the Danube River, which had been closed since late July due to a dredger explosion, the Ukrainian State Seaport Authority announced on Wednesday.

The River Danube overflowed its banks in Budapest on Thursday, with water levels reaching 6.93 meters, the highest in a decade. Unusually early winter floods were triggered by heavy rain and snow, followed by mild weather.

Flood waters are continuing to rise in parts of southern Germany, and are now spreading down the Danube to Austria and Hungary, News.Az reports citing BBC.
