Azerbaijan’s National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) discovered 6,824 landmines and 52,392 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) in the country’s liberated territories during 2025, the agency said.

A regular meeting of the Coordination Headquarters, chaired by Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Presidential Administration and head of the Coordination Headquarters for addressing issues in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, was held in the city of Khankandi.

President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order amending the July 31, 2023, order (No. 4013) titled "On the Establishment of City Days in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan."

"All necessary conditions have been provided for citizens to freely express their will in Azerbaijan's liberated cities of Fuzuli and Khankandi, where we are observing the voting process," the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Khomenko told journalists, News.az reports.
