A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Lahore to Jeddah made an emergency landing in Karachi on Thursday after the pilot detected cracks in the aircraft’s windshield mid-flight.

The United Kingdom has officially lifted a five-year ban on Pakistani airlines, allowing them to apply for the resumption of flights to and from the UK.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) resumed direct flights to Europe on Friday, following the EU Aviation Safety Agency's decision to lift a four-year safety ban.

Turkish Airlines has shown interest in purchasing Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national air carrier of Pakistan, according to the latter’s minister of state for finance, Ali Pervaiz Malik.
