The Turkish defense industry conducted a test Friday of a ballistic missile, News.Az reports, citing Anadolu.

Turkish defense company Roketsan has reached an agreement with Istanbul's Kale Jet Engines to equip its cruise missiles with locally produced turbojet engines, representing a significant move towards achieving full independence in the national defense industry.

Türkiye’s first domestically produced short-range missile system, Tayfun, developed by local defense firm Roketsan, was successfully test-fired on Monday in northeastern Türkiye.

ANKA, one of Türkiye’s high-profile locally produced and designed UAVs, hit a target from 15,000 feet (4,572 meters) with a Turkish ROKETSAN missile, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) announced on X on Thursday.
