4.7 magnitude quake hits Azerbaijan

A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi district at 15:52 local time on Friday, the Earthquake Research Bureau at the Republican Seismological Service Center reported.
The earthquake’s epicenter was located at a depth of 12 kilometers, News.Az reports.

The tremor registered 4.7 on the Richter scale at the epicenter and was felt at magnitudes of 3 to 4 in surrounding districts.
