5.1-magnitude quake rattles China's Xinjiang

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Yuli County in the Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Bayingolin, located in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 12:12 p.m. Monday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

According to CENC data, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 15 kilometers, News.Az reports, citing Xinhua.

The quake epicenter was recorded at 40.88 degrees north latitude and 84.17 degrees east longitude.
