Sources close to the Iranian delegation have told Al Jazeera that Iran’s participation in the talks followed a decision by the United States to release frozen Iranian assets.
The move was one of Iran’s demands outlined in its 10 point plan, according to the sources, News.Az reports, citing Aljazeera.
The United States has not commented on whether it has agreed to release frozen Iranian assets.
