Russia’s total combat losses in its war against Ukraine have increased by 1,030 personnel over the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukraine launched strikes on multiple Russian military facilities in the Donetsk region, targeting command centers and drone units near Pokrovsk, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of Air Assault Forces reported.

Since February 15, 2024, when Ukrainian forces withdrew from Avdiivka, the defense forces have been gradually retreating towards Pokrovsk—sometimes at a faster pace, sometimes slower—almost every week, News.Az reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

Russian forces have made significant progress in eastern Ukraine and appear to be preparing for a crucial battle for a key city, which, if lost, could expose the broader Donetsk region, according to analysts.
