Judoka Khadija Gadashova becomes Azerbaijan’s first-ever female world champion
Azerbaijani female judoka Khadija Gadashova has clinched a gold medal at the World Championships Cadets Individuals 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia, News.Az reports.
Gadashova became the first ever female world champion in the history of Azerbaijan after defeating French Alyssia Poulange in the women’s 52kg weight class.
Meanwhile, male judokas Mahammad Musayev (60kg) and Abil Yusubov (66kg) picked up silver medals.
