Iran will resume international passenger flights from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport starting Saturday, with Istanbul and Muscat among the first destinations.

Turkish Airlines denied reports on Friday that it had canceled flights from Türkiye to Iran, confirming that operations to Tehran are continuing as scheduled, according to the company’s senior vice president for communications.

Nearly 20 flights between Dubai and major Iranian cities were canceled for Friday, including services to Tehran, Shiraz and Mashhad, according to flight information published on the Dubai Airports website. The affected flights were operated by flydubai.

Turkish Airlines has canceled all five flights from Istanbul to Tehran on Friday, amid ongoing protests in Iran over rising living costs, according to the Istanbul Airport app. Five additional flights operated by Iranian airlines were also canceled, while seven others remain scheduled.

Russian national airline Aeroflot has reinstated direct flights between Moscow and Tehran, following a months-long suspension prompted by regional instability caused by a 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel.

Iran has reopened its airspace to international overflights and resumed normal airport operations nationwide.

The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization announced that all flights will resume as normal starting from 9:00 AM local time on Saturday, News.Az reports citing Gulf Times.
