Children among injured as Israeli strikes hit Gaza and Khan Younis

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that five people, including three children, were wounded after an Israeli strike hit a house on Al-Nasr Street west of Gaza City. Ambulance crews from the Palestinian Red Crescent transferred the injured to Al-Shifa Hospital for treatment, News.Az reports, citing SANA.

Two more Palestinians were injured after Israeli aircraft targeted a group of civilians near the intersection of Street 5 in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis. Medical teams transported the wounded to Nasser Hospital.

Israeli artillery shelling also struck eastern areas of Khan Younis and western parts of Rafah. Residents reported repeated explosions caused by demolition operations carried out by Israeli forces against residential buildings in the Al-Tuffah neighbourhood northeast of Gaza City.

Medical sources in Gaza said the death toll from the Israeli offensive since October 7, 2023, had risen to 72,772, while 172,707 people had been injured. The sources added that since the collapse of the ceasefire on October 10 last year, 880 people had been killed and 2,605 injured across the Gaza Strip.
