Azerbaijan and Israel have discussed potential areas of bilateral cooperation in the development of clean energy, according to officials involved in regional green energy projects.

Black Sea Energy, a regional energy corridor delivering Azerbaijan’s green power to Europe through an underwater Black Sea cable, has officially received PMI status from the European Commission, marking a significant milestone in the project’s development.

Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov has said that Astana is focused on cooperation with Azerbaijan, particularly in oil transportation and the construction of a green energy cable along the Caspian seabed, News.Az reports, citing Kazinform.

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan proceed to fulfilling the large-scale project on the construction of a green energy transmission line via the Caspian Sea with further access to the European markets, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said on Friday.

The 10th meeting of the Ministerial/Steering Committee overseeing the implementation of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Development and Transmission of Green Energy between the governments of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary took place in Budapest.
