Azerbaijani wrestler wins fourth European championship title

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov has reached an impressive milestone, becoming a four-time European champion.

Jafarov secured his latest gold at the Senior European Championships 2026 in Tirana, Albania, News.Az reports, citing local media.

In the final, he emerged victorious over Turkish wrestler Murat Fırat to secure men’s 73kg title and further cement his legacy.
