The statement was made by Israeli army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir during a meeting held after Hezbollah fired rockets toward Israel, News.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.
“We have launched an offensive campaign against Hezbollah,” Zamir said.

The announcement comes as Lebanese authorities report that Israeli air strikes on Lebanon have killed at least 31 people and injured 149 others so far.
