Aircraft manufacturer Airbus announced Wednesday that it has lowered its 2025 commercial aircraft delivery target due to fuselage panel quality issues affecting its flagship A320 model.

Airbus said Monday that its fleets are returning to normal operations after the company accelerated software updates across nearly 6,000 A320-family jets, avoiding a prolonged crisis linked to a space-related computer bug.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India has issued an airworthiness directive prohibiting the operation of several Airbus A320 family aircraft models due to safety concerns associated with a company-issued software update.
