An event dedicated to May 28 - Independence Day of Azerbaijan was held in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, organized by the Azerbaijan Garabagh Center, with the support of Azerbaijan's State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

“Azerbaijan has great potential to create cities with a high quality of life by prioritizing human health in new urban development projects,” Celia García Albertos, Spanish architect and urban planning expert at Healthy Cities.

“One of the main tasks for our government now is the reconstruction of Garabagh and East Zangezur, an area which had been under Armenian occupation for 30 years, and which suffered total destruction and devastation,” President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

On May 14, the 9th “Kharibulbul” International Music Festival commenced in the city of Shusha. The event is organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Aykhan Hajizada has commented on anti-Azerbaijani allegations voiced by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot in the French Senate on 6 May, rejecting what he described as unfounded claims and a distorted narrative regarding the Garabagh region.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has said Italian companies hold leading positions among foreign firms involved in development projects in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

“In September 2023, Azerbaijan put an end to separatism in Garabagh. We ourselves implemented the four UN Security Council resolutions adopted in 1993, which remained on paper for 30 years. Four months after that, PACE imposed sanctions on our delegation,” President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during his speech via video link at the 8th European Political Community Summit.

“The facilities and academic environment at Karabakh University meet high standards, creating a favorable foundation for attracting foreign students as well,” the UAE Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Mohammed Al Blooshi, said.

During their visit to Garabagh and East Zangezur, international travelers toured the Khojaly Genocide Memorial.

The Garabagh Education and Partnership Forum under the theme “Joint Steps for the Future Karabakh” got underway here at Azerbaijan's Garabagh University.
