Azerbaijan, Syria leaders discuss rising Middle East tensions

The transitional president of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed al-Sharaa, phoned Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Tuesday to discuss the current situation in the Middle East.
During the phone call, the sides expressed concern over the tensions in the region, emphasizing the need to prevent steps that could negatively affect the security and stability of regional states, News.Az reports, citing AZERTAC.
