The drone was intercepted close to the airport, where an earlier attack had targeted the logistical support camp of the U.S. Embassy located within the facility, News.Az reports, citing AFP.
One security source said the incident caused no casualties or material damage.

The event follows a similar attempted drone attack on the outskirts of the airport a day earlier, which was also thwarted, according to Iraq’s Security Media Cell.
