Robert De Niro torches Trump with Epstein jab on Colbert
Stephen Colbert is pulling out all the stops for his final weeks as host of The Late Show, and Hollywood legend Robert De Niro just delivered one of the most memorable moments of the farewell tour.
For his penultimate episode, Colbert flipped the script, sitting on the guest couch while a star-studded lineup of celebrity friends, including Aubrey Plaza and Martha Stewart, took turns playing host. When it was De Niro's turn to ask a question, the Oscar winner used the opportunity to take a sharp, unexpected swipe at his favorite political target: Donald Trump, News.Az reports, citing IMDB.
De Niro initially participated in a running gag on the show, asking Colbert, “What number were you thinking of?”

Colbert explained the trick, revealing that the answer was three—a number only Meryl Streep and Ethan Hawke had correctly guessed before.
That’s when De Niro threw his curveball.
“OK,” De Niro replied. “Because I thought it would have been two million point five, or two and a half million. That’s the number of Epstein files Trump still hasn’t released.”
The punchline immediately drew massive applause and cheers from the studio audience, as well as an appreciative reaction from Colbert himself.
The political jab adds to a long list of viral moments from Colbert’s star-studded send-off, which has recently featured heavy hitters like Barack Obama, Tom Hanks, John Oliver, Jon Stewart, and a nostalgic segment with former host David Letterman.
